Hi! I’m Riley :) I’ve always been interested in taking pictures. It started out with my flip phone camera in middle school and posting family pets on instagram with terrible filters back in 2011 to purchasing a new canon camera in 2017 shortly after I got my first “real” job as a nurse. For years I almost exclusively took pictures of my beloved golden retriever Kota and cat Roo. Thanks to them, I learned my way around the camera, ie shutter speeds, aperture, al servo, composition, exposure etc. And watched a lot of youtube. Since then, I’ve invested in two more cameras, several lenses, and even more time on youtube. If this hobby of mine was going to take me anywhere, I hoped it would allow me to take photos for animals in need of homes at local shelters. I’ve been honored to help out with the CASPCA with their website photos. Friends started to trust me with taking photos of their newborn babies and their families. By just the sheer power of word of mouth, I even began to take family portraits, senior pictures, engagement session, surprise proposals, and got to second shoot for a few weddings for people I don’t even directly know. I’m very lucky to be able to do this and I just love it. I would be happy to meet with you and capture what you love <3
